While agave (pronounced ah-GAH-vay) is best recognized as the plant from which tequila is made, it has also been used for thousands of years as an ingredient in food. The nectar made from the plant is known in Mexico as aguamiel, or "honey water." The Aztecs prized the agave as a gift from the gods and used the liquid from its core to flavor foods and drinks. Now, due to increasing demand of agave nectar as a sweetener for it's low glycemic index we are proud to present Mexcola beverage, available and bottled for your enjoyment.

Our previous Mexicola recepie incorporated HFCS and/or sugar sweetener in the early 1990s. Today we have developed and expanded our line of smooth texture, superior flavor blue agave and stevia sweetened sodas and juices to the next generation product lines.
